Dr. Brian Perry
Dr. Brian Perry received his undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa, then attended medical school at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine, graduating with his M.D. degree in 1979. He completed a three year residency in Family Practice at the University of Alabama School of Primary Medical Care, Huntsville, and is Board Certified in Family Medicine.
Dr. Brian has served as President of the Alabama Academy of Family Physicians and was delegate from Alabama to the American Academy of Family Physicians Congress of Delegates. He has been a member of the University of Alabama School of Medicine Committee on Admissions for over twenty years. Dr. Brian is also Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at the UAB School of Medicine, serving as a preceptor for medical students of the Birmingham, Tuscaloosa, and Huntsville campuses.
Dr. Brian is certified by the Federal Aviation Administration as a Senior Aviation Medical Examiner, performing FAA flight physicals including Class 1 physicals for airline transport pilots. He is also trained and certified as a medical review officer by the American Association of Medical Review Officers, overseeing services in alcohol and drug testing for area businesses. Dr. Brian has been voted by his peers as one of the Best Doctors in America from 2001 through 2013. Only the top five percent of physicians in each specialty nationwide receive this honor.
He is a Centre native and has been in practice here since 1982.
